July 24th - Poison Whiskey (Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute)
"Poison Whiskey has been performing to sell-out crowds in Club Concerts, Fairs and Festivals for over a decade now, with a lead singer who recreates the powerful, rowdy stage presence of the late Ronnie Van Zant with an uncanny resemblance. Polished lead and rhythm guitars in tandem with a rockin' rhythm section, and honky tonk style piano, are the ingredients needed for a "southern - fried" Skynyrd ride! So close to the real thing is Poison Whiskey that you would swear you were back in the 1970's all over again. The crowds never stop dancing and singing along from the first note."
July 31st - The Machine (Pink Floyd Tribute)
THE MACHINE, America's top Pink Floyd show, has forged a 20 year reputation of excellence, extending the legacy of Pink Floyd, while creating another legacy all their own. Over the years, The Machine has touched the hearts and souls of many, selling out large clubs and theatres across North and Central America, Europe and Asia. They have also appeared at renowned music festivals such as Bonnaroo, Riverbend, and Germany's Rock of Ages.
August 7th - Donna The Buffalo
Donna the Buffalo is twenty years young this year and as energized as ever. Their 7th record, SILVERLINED, released in July 2008 on Sugar Hill Records, builds on Donna the Buffalo's signature sound -- a bedrock of traditional mountain music infused with elements of Cajun, rock, folk, reggae and country. Throughout SILVERLINED, these undulating rhythms carry the original lyrics, and alternating vocals, of founding members Tara Nevins and Jeb Puryear along a powerful, mesmerizing current."
Donna the Buffalo embodies both the hope-filled spirit of the 60's and 70's and the cautionary tale aspect of those turbulent years. Reminiscent at times of Bob Dylan (Puryear) or Carol King (Nevins), their lyrics embrace ideals of tolerance, peace, love, and justice.
